Howdy folks!
It’s Leah. If you’ve landed here, you probably already know that since I imagine this will only be seen by existing loved ones. If you’re new, welcome. Thanks for coming. Please take your shoes off and grab a snack (pantry is loaded). Lately, I’ve been trying to figure out how to introduce myself and what rings true to me. So in true form, I’m going to just word vomit it out. Because I am everything on the list and entire universes more but I might as well start somewhere.
My pronouns are she/they but honestly I don’t really have a preference. I’d describe myself as queer in gender and sexuality. I just turned 28 (virgo/libra cusp). I am an immigrant (?? longer blog post forthcoming on identity), i.e., a transracial, transnational adoptee from China with roots all over southeast Asia transplanted, corn fed and raised in southeastern Wisconsin. I am a medical student (but I always add the caveat that medicine is what I do, not who I am) and peer tutor. I’m ambidextrous. I love creating and working with my hands, spending time outdoors, and endlessly learning. To describe my personality in a few words, I’d probably tell you curious, empathetic, adaptable and driven. At the core of it all for me is community; I am here to learn, grow and connect with others.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog. I really can’t promise anything here but authenticity, run-on sentences and a dearth of oxford commas.
